About
Life starts, and ends, with breath. Oxygen is what makes life – especially complex human life – possible.
The importance of breath and its impact on people is what piqued my interest and what I found most thrilling when I decided to become a doctor. I come from a family of doctors, and I’ve always been scientifically-minded.
My training and education allows me to treat a variety of lung conditions and diseases, including asthma, COPD, lung nodules and masses, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary fibrosis, chronic cough, bronchitis, breathlessness, and other issues that keep patients from breathing freely. I also have experience treating patients living with problems such as diabetes and hypertension, which can complicate breathing further.
I think of myself as the patient’s companion in their journey as we face whatever illness is afflicting them. It’s my honor and pleasure to be their GPS, so to speak, as we explore different routes to where they want to go.
I strive to always be aware of individual patients’ specific needs, even those which are not lung-related, so that I can connect them with another provider who is able to help.
During my free time, I enjoy reading as well as going to art museums and the gym.
Fluent in Spanish, with proficiency in French and Japanese.
