About
For as long as I can remember, I have wanted to help those in need and ultimately decided to become a physician. I became interested in family medicine when I rotated at an FM clinic on the Tohono O’odham Nation. I loved that I was able to care for a marginalized population of patients of all ages and backgrounds. This set me off on a career path focusing on rural and underrepresented communities, such as farmers, Native Americans, refugees and veterans.
I have worked in labor and delivery, inpatient hospital medicine and outpatient clinic settings. With this experience, I can help patients navigate one of the most difficult parts of our healthcare system – the transition between these settings. That transition may include follow-up care after a recent hospitalization, whether for a heart attack or the birth of a baby.
I provide many office procedures to patients of all ages, including simple skin procedures (abscess drainage, wart or skin tag removal, skin biopsy and laceration repair), joint injections, Pap smears and contraceptive implant placement.
Patients entrust us with their most personal issues. Therefore, listening is the most important thing I can do for my patient, to foster that special doctor-patient relationship and set the future up for success. As your doctor, I aim to serve as your medical coach, taking into account your passions, struggles and unique background, to better address the problems you face day to day. Together, we can work towards overcoming those challenges and achieving better health and overall wellness.
Outside of work, I enjoy running, volunteering, nature conservation, and hiking with my wife.
