About
Being a pediatrician is always a joy and sometimes a puzzle – my patients are often too young to tell me how they’re feeling or what’s wrong – so a big part of my job is solving that puzzle.
For me, treating patients under the age of 18 keeps things fresh, interesting, and fun. I like to say that this is the only specialty where we get to hold our patients in our arms – and nothing is more fulfilling than cradling a brand-new baby while I give the parents what I call “anticipatory guidance." I also love treating school-age and teenage patients. Every age group has its different developmental treasures.
I try to make everybody smile when they come through the door and feel better about themselves when they’re leaving – even if someone has to have an immunization. I enjoy building relationships with my patients and their families – I want to see them all; hear about their lives; and know they trust me to be on their side.
When I’m not working, I love to do karaoke; see theatrical productions; play water polo; snorkel; swim; sketch; hike; skip rocks on a lake – and spend time with my beautiful wife and children. Whatever we’re doing, I just hop in the car and go.
This provider only sees patients under the age of 18.
Fluent in Swedish.
