About
I love pulmonary and critical care because both are so dynamic – I see patients who are very sick, but also patients who are doing great. It’s satisfying to help the sick patients improve, and to help the recovering patients reach an even higher level of wellness.
I perform a wide variety of pulmonology and critical care procedures, including those related to asthma, COPD, lung fibrosis, interstitial lung disease and lung masses and tumors. One of my other strengths is research – I’ve authored a great number of papers – so I keep up-to-date on the newest discoveries and progress in both my fields.
Because I’ve traveled to so many different places all over the world, I’m able to relate to people of diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I think my patients would say I’m soft-spoken, patient, gentle, considerate and a good listener. The last is very important to me, because I believe that a good doctor must always focus on the patient’s needs, wants and goals.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family as well as exploring technology, programming and design.
