About
Medicine has been my calling since childhood, when I was fascinated by visits to the pediatrician. I chose to specialize in pulmonary medicine because it is one of the most diverse fields of medicine – hundreds of lung and chest diseases, disorders and other issues fall under the umbrella of pulmonology.
My patients - many of whom have been coming to see me for 10 or 20 years - say that my bedside manner and sense of humor underlie our strong, long-standing partnerships. I see each patient as an individual and try to address his or her unique problem. I love watching people improve.
I am a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians, and I have previously served as the director of pulmonary medicine, chairman of medicine, and chief of medical staff at Northwest Medical Center.
I am board certified in pulmonary disease and sleep medicine. In addition, I maintain a part-time position with VA Southern Arizona Healthcare System, because as a former Air Force Major, one of my passions is to provide our nation’s military veterans with the highest quality healthcare.
During my free time, I enjoy Arctic travel, which includes river and ocean kayaking, backpacking and dog mushing.
