About
As a gastroenterologist, I specialize in a diverse range of conditions, including but not limited to, colon cancer screening/prevention; liver disease; biliary pathology; inflammatory bowel disease; celiac disease; pancreatic disorders; gastric problems; esophageal pathology; swallowing/motility disorders; GI bleeding; and other conditions affecting adult patients.
I was born and raised in a small village in Pakistan with very little access to healthcare and no access to healthcare for women at all. My background was a deciding factor in my career path. It’s hard to make a big difference in the world, but I knew that as a female healthcare practitioner, I can bridge the gap and extend compassionate medical care to those who might otherwise be deprived of it.
One of my key aspirations is to create a sense of empowerment and trust among my patients. I endeavor to be not only a good physician, but also a reliable advocate for my patients’ wellbeing. I believe that fostering an environment of openness and comfort is paramount in the journey to recovery.
A hallmark of my practice is the deep personal connection I establish with my patients. I place immense value on understanding their unique concerns and aspirations, tailoring my approach to their individual needs. By forming these meaningful connections, I aim to form a relationship in which patients feel understood, supported and empowered to take charge of their health.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy cooking, hiking and exploring new restaurants.
