About
Education
- Master of Science, Physician Assistant Program: South University, Tampa, FL
- American Academy of Physician Assistants
I have always loved helping people and learning new things. Those passions helped me discover my calling in surgical care and oncology while I was studying to be a physician assistant.
As a student, I trained in eight different clinical rotations, including primary care, pediatrics, women’s health, emergency medicine, psychiatry, internal medicine, urgent care – and, of course, general surgery, which gradually inspired me to specialize in colorectal surgery.
My practice philosophy is simple, but powerful: I treat my patients like I would treat my own parents. Each person is unique, and whatever condition they are struggling with is unique, as well – even if the condition itself is “common.” It’s important to me that my patients feel not only heard, but understood, as we partner to develop a care plan.
When I’m not working, I love to go running, spend time with family, and read.
