About
I think of general surgery as the ultimate connection between brain and hands. I love combining scientific knowledge with physical skill in such a way that my patients come out of surgery with their problem fixed, and their lives impacted in a positive way. I think of general surgery as helping someone in “real-time.”
I perform a wide range of surgical services including gallbladder and appendix removal; hernia repair; basic colon procedures, and more. I treat every procedure, no matter how small, very seriously from beginning to end – because “minor” surgery is still surgery.
I keep a special focus on relationships and communication. My patients tell me I am warm-hearted and empathetic, and that I try to put myself in their shoes – without talking to them in an overly technical way. Surgical patients are in their most vulnerable state, and my role is to listen, break down barriers, and make a difference – to get rid of something that’s hurting or causing an issue. That is my passion and my calling.
Outside of work, I love running; hiking and camping; traveling; and cooking.
