I chose to become a board-certified nurse practitioner with a focus on women’s health because I enjoy building a deep relationship with patients throughout their lifespan – from adolescent medicine to family planning to menopause management. Gynecological medicine is distinguished by sensitive topics and issues, and requires special care from an experienced, non-judgmental practitioner.
I spent many years as a postpartum nurse, and that experience helped me become an excellent listener who prioritizes giving women a strong voice in their own healthcare. In addition, I was an adjunct clinical faculty member at the university level – an experience that makes me better able to educate patients about their health conditions, choices, and goals.
I am here to help answer questions and solve problems of all kinds while caring for patients. I perform well-woman exams; provide contraceptive/family planning counseling; offer screenings and treatment for sexually-transmitted infections and cervical cancer; and help manage menopausal symptoms with hormone therapy.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my family – especially hiking and going to concerts.
