About
As a gastroenterologist, I specialize in addressing problems affecting the digestive system and gastrointestinal tract – such as colitis (including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease), irritable bowel syndrome, celiac disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), cirrhosis, upper GI bleeds, swallowing motility disorders, and many other conditions. I also screen for, and diagnose, colon cancer.
Witnessing the impact these gastrointestinal disorders can have on individuals and their families inspired me to become a specialist capable of offering support and treatment for these conditions. The intricate interplay of symptoms, investigations and treatments not only captivates my mind, but also reinforces my commitment to constant learning and advancement in the field.
I enjoy the procedural aspect of gastroenterology – knowing that what I do can improve my patients’ immediate quality of life as well as their long-term health. Among the many aspects of gastroenterology that inspire my passion, one stands out prominently – the opportunity to screen for and prevent colorectal cancer. I firmly believe that early detection can save lives and dramatically improve patient outcomes. I am determined to be at the forefront of colorectal cancer screening efforts, providing my patients with the best chance for a healthy and fulfilling life.
My patients would say I’m friendly and approachable and I always strive to be an empathetic and highly skilled practitioner, continuously seeking ways to enhance my knowledge as I provide them with effective care and offer the tools they need for good decision-making. Moreover, my desire to form long-term connections with my patients is at the core of my commitment to this profession. I take immense pride in being a reliable and trusted healthcare partner for my patients, offering not only medical knowledge but also emotional support and understanding.
When I’m not working, I enjoy exercising at the gym, swimming, running and hiking. I enjoy going to the movies and binge watching TV shows, trying new restaurants and foods, and also love spending time with my family.
