About
As a board-certified family medicine physician with nearly two decades of clinical experience in various healthcare settings, I’m passionate about providing high-quality care and building strong relationships with patients and their families.
I was the first member of my large, working-class Chicago family to attend college, and I started my career in medicine as a certified nursing assistant. My background makes me aware of, and sensitive to, to the apprehension people may feel at a doctor’s appointment – and it informs my commitment to building trust with each patient. I’m told that I’m an easygoing person who listens well and is able to address one concern at a time.
Regardless of your reason for coming to see me, I strive to achieve three things during your visit: an exam, a plan, and a chat. I’m interested in your life as a whole person, not just as a patient – for example, if I know you’ve just welcomed a new grandchild, I’ll want to see a photo!
When I’m not at work, I love spending time with my wife (and five grown children, when I can). I also have four dogs who make great hiking buddies.
